Choose How to Legalize Documents

The option for legalization via a town hall applies only to residents of the Netherlands. Click here for an explanation.

Explanation
Many people stay in Spain for more than three months before arranging their residencia. Make sure that the start date of your stay is no more than a month in the past, as you must officially register in Spain after three months.

When you have documents legalized via a town hall in the Netherlands, it typically costs around 15 euros per document. If you live outside the Netherlands or prefer a notary, it costs around 50 euros per document.

Als je werknemer bent:
- Verklaring van het dienstverband van de werkgever of een werkcertificaat met bedrijfsnaam, adres, fiscaal identificatienummer en werkgeversregistratie.
- Bewijs van inschrijving bij de Sociale Zekerheid of toestemming voor controle van gegevens bij de Sociale Zekerheid.
Als je zelfstandige bent:
- Inschrijving in het Handelsregister.
- Inschrijving in het Bedrijvenregister.
- Bewijs van inschrijving bij de Sociale Zekerheid, of toestemming voor controle van gegevens bij de Sociale Zekerheid of de Belastingdienst.
Als je geen werk hebt (niet-actief) in Spanje:
- Bewijs van ziektekostenverzekering (publiek of privaat) met dekking in Spanje.
- Bewijs van voldoende financiële middelen voor jezelf en je familie, zoals eigendomsaktes, gecertificeerde cheques, bewijs van inkomen uit kapitaal of kredietkaarten met bankcertificaat van het beschikbare bedrag.
Als je student bent:
- Inschrijving bij een erkende of door de overheid gefinancierde onderwijsinstelling.
- Bewijs van ziektekostenverzekering, zoals een geldige Europese ziekteverzekeringskaart voor de verblijfsperiode.
